Online Desk

Wellington is a diverse constituency composed of several communities such as the neighborhoods of Weston, Brooklands and Dufferin, among many others. Within this large region, communities of youths and seniors, First Nations, descendants of immigrants and recent immigrants, working people and students alike, make their home. It is my honour to represent these communities and my constituents as we look forward to the future.

On my visits to area schools and community centres,
I have come to witness many solid examples of how families, community organization staff and volunteers face societal and family challenges through collective action among community stakeholders, government and individuals. Likewise, in visits with several residents of the Wellington constituency, I am struck by their determination to seek solutions to problems and strengthen neighbourhood pride and their sense of community ownership. Since being elected, I have attended a number of community events. I felt energized meeting those whose daily business is to care for, train and empower the residents of our neighbourhoods.

As the new MLA for Wellington, I am determined to learn more about its people and community organizations, to learn about what works and what isn't working in Wellington, and how we can create and further strengthen existing government partnerships in our community. Please do not hesitate to contact me at any time as we work together to build a positive future in the Wellington constituency.
